Pile Installation Using Hydraulic Rotary Rig
Our piling operations are executed in accordance with applicable standards, approved structural drawings, project specifications, and established safety and quality procedures.
- 01Step 01
Rig Positioning & Alignment
The hydraulic rotary rig is precisely positioned over the pre-surveyed pile centre using temporary reference marks. The rig's verticality and alignment are verified before commencing boring operations.
- 02Step 02
Boring & Bore Stabilisation
Soil excavation is carried out using an auger. During boring operations, bentonite slurry is introduced into the borehole as required to maintain bore stability and prevent collapse.
- 03Step 03
Drilling to Design Depth
Boring operations continue until the specified design termination depth or the required competent bearing stratum is reached.
- 04Step 04
Rock Socketing
Where socketing into competent strata such as weathered or soft rock is required, a suitable rock auger is used to continue drilling until the specified termination level is achieved.
- 05Step 05
Bore Cleaning & Founding Level Verification
Upon reaching the required termination level, the drilling tool is withdrawn and the borehole is thoroughly cleaned using a cleaning bucket. Required verification and testing are carried out in accordance with approved project specifications before reinforcement installation.
- 06Step 06
Reinforcement Cage Installation
The reinforcement cage is carefully lowered into the prepared borehole in accordance with approved structural drawings and project requirements.
- 07Step 07
Tremie Pipe Installation
A suitable 150 mm or 200 mm diameter tremie pipe is installed using appropriate lifting equipment or the rotary rig. A hopper is fitted at the top of the tremie pipe to facilitate controlled concrete placement.
- 08Step 08
Concreting
Concrete is placed through the tremie system using the approved concreting procedure to ensure continuous and controlled placement of concrete within the pile bore.
